Telecoms aristocrat Carlos Slim Helu is worlds richest man

The Mexican telecoms lord Carlos Slim Helú has been declared the worlds richest man, with a net value of $53.5 billion (36 billion), the initial time since 1994 that the No 1 mark has been hold by a non-US citizen.

The annual billionaires list published by Forbes repository shows that the series of billionaires increasing from 793 to 1,011.

Recovering monetary markets and line and clever mercantile expansion from a little Asian-Pacific and Latin American economies helped to enlarge the common resources of the worlds richest by $2.4 trillion to $3.6 trillion.

The Duke of Westminster is the highest-placed Briton, with a net value of $12 billion, up $1 billion. He is 45th on the full list.
